SR events: Barn Wedding

On a chilly October evening late last year, John married Kristie in a rustic barn filled with romance. The wedding took place in Statesville, NC at the farm of the groom's sister. Though the air outside was truly reminiscent of a Carolina Fall, the setting for their ceremony was abundant in warmth and love. For this event, Shawna wanted to make sure she used as much of the natural environment that surrounded the area in the decor. Hay bale grabbers and scales were used to house a chandelier and an abundance of flowers, adding just a bit of country. Gourds and pumpkins were scattered throughout the barn. Rope was made dainty as it was used to hang mason jars filled with twinkle lights. A chalkboard frame at the barn entrance welcomed their guests to their wedding. Mason jars filled with votive candles lined the burlap runner that Kristie would walk down later that evening to meet John. The guests sat underneath rows of string lights as they enjoyed the ceremony. Beatiful flowers, provided by Bella Grace Floral, added just the right amount of elegance to the ceremony and truly transformed the barn. Under handmade lighting accented with vintage lace and rustic paper lanterns, the bride and groom said there I do's. Lanterns and candelabras added elegance and warmth to the space. After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed warmed cider as John and Kristie rode around to enjoy a moment alone in a big green tractor. It was a true honor for Shawna Robinson Events to be apart of their special day and wish the couple many years of happiness together.

Love in the Fast Lane: Earnhardt-Miller Wedding

On January 22, 2011, one of NASCAR's most prominent business women, Kelley Earnahardt, married NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour driver, L.W. Miller III, in Mooresville, NC. They kept the wedding and reception an intimate affair with just close family and friends in attendance.

When it came to decide the dcor for the event, Kelley enlisted the help of her friend, Shawna Robinson, former NASCAR driver and owner of Shawna Robinson Events. Kelley allowed Shawna to have all the creative freedom that she desired in order to make Kelley's vision of her perfect wedding come to life.

A hot pink color scheme dominated the dcor - as it is the favorite color of Kelley's daughters' Kennedy and Karsyn. Shawna also incorporated black, white and hints of zebra throughout the reception venue. Lounge areas with bright white sofas surrounded the dance floor and cylinders filled with candles and bright colored orchids topped the tables. Custom-made beaded chandeliers lit the dance floor below as the couple and guests danced the night away.

It was a great event to be a part of and such a joy to be able to help create a night of memories for Kelley and L.W. and their families.

Happy Chair as well as Shawna Robinson Events wishes the couple a lifetime of happiness.
